Suggest a site for Community Payback

Local people and community groups are encouraged to help with the selection of projects that will help make their community a better place to live. We look for projects or jobs, not normally carried out by paid workers, which combine both hard work and learning skills.

Once completed, the work receives a Community Payback logo and plaque to show where offenders have made a positive contribution to improving the neighbourhood.

How to suggest a project

Please contact Martin Harris with details of your project. Email: Martin.Harris@cambridgeshire.probation.gsi.gov.uk.

Placements must be:

  • For the community, not individual benefit (although we do carry out work for individuals or couples who are elderly or disabled)

  • For not-for-profit organisations

  • Not a replacement for paid labour (ie they must not replace a current paid work force)

  • Of a reasonable nature and meet health and safety regulations.

In addition, the cost of materials must be supplied by the beneficiary.
