Drink Impaired Drivers Programme

The Drink Impaired Drivers Programme tackles the attitudes and behaviour of drink impaired drivers. It aims to:

  • stop them from drink driving
  • increase their knowledge of alcohol and its effects
  • help them control their thoughts, feelings and actions
  • promote safer driving.

It is an intensive programme for groups of up to 12 offenders. Drink drivers seldom think about victims, their families or the consequences for themselves. The programme is designed to change behavious by increasing knowledge and by teaching problem solving skills.
