Integrated Domestic Abuse ProgrammeThe Cambridgeshire Probation Area was supported by Community Safety Partnerships in developing a specific cognitive behaviour course to address domestic violence in 2005. In 2007 we plan to expand delivery of this course as a rolling programme. Partners of offenders are supported by dedicated Women's Support Workers, who liaise with course organisers as well as other key agencies. We are also committed to support the development of the specific Domestic Violence Court, and to ensure the effectiveness of multi-agency risk assessment procedures, for Domestic Violence. The Integrated Domestic Abuse Programme, developed by the Probation Service, targets convicted perpetrators. Its potential effectiveness lies in it being embedded within a wider community framework including agency awareness, policing priority and support for victims/survivors. Agencies offer continuing support. What is Domestic Abuse?'Any incident or threatening behaviour, violence or abuse (psychological, physical, sexual, financial or emotional) between adults who are or have been intimate partners or family members regardless of gender or sexuality.'
