Think First Programme

Think First is a groupwork programme for impulsive offenders. It works especially well for those who commit offences against property.

The programme aims to reduce re-offending by teaching basic problem skills and uses techniques aimed at changing the way people think and behave. It focuses on all aspects of an offenders life which may contribute to law breaking. It also concentrates probation resources on offenders most at risk of re-offending.

This challenging programme sees offenders complete 22 group sessions over 11 weeks, led by trained probation staff. Those who are unemployed are expected to continue to look for work, and their quest is supported by our training and education specialists.
